Roháč waterfall (Roháčsky vodopád)

Roháč Waterfall (Roháčsky vodopád) is located in the Western Tatras (Západné Tatry), in Roháče Mountains in the Žilina Region (Žilinský kraj), in the Tvrdošín district. It is located on  a nature trail to Roháčske lakes (Roháčske plesá). The waterfall is located in the Burnt Valley (Spálená dolina) below under the Roháčske lakes (Roháčske plesá), there is also  small lake called Opal lake (Opálové pliesko) nearby.  The waterfall is located at an altitude of 1250 m. and has a height approximately 23 m..

You can get to waterfall by hiking to Roháčske lakes (Roháčske plesá). You can start the hiking tour from multiple points, e.g. from the cottage Zverovka (can be reached also by bus), or from parking under Spálená, than by hike to Zverovka tourist crossroads and than to the next tourist point (crossroads) Adamcuľa - Spálená dolina (Burnt Valley) - Roháčske plesá (Roháčske lakes) – tourist point in Smutná dolina (Sad valley)  - Ťatliakovo jazero (lake) and back Adamcuľa  - Chata Zverovka (Zverovka cottage). You can get to this area by car or bus from the direction Dolný Kubín (city) or Tvrdošín (city) through the villages of Habovka and Zuberec.
