Trnava Region (in Slovak Trnavský kraj) is the seventh largest region in Slovakia by area, it has an area of 4,146.30 km2. The capital of the region is city Trnava, according to the population the seventh largest city in Slovakia.The region borders on Bratislava Region (Bratislavský kraj), Trenčín Region (Trenčiansky kraj), Nitra Region (Nitriansky kraj) and three states - Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary.
West and north-west area of region is covered by Zahorska lowland (Záhorská nížina). Middle and south are is covered by Danubian Lowland (Podunajská nížina). Zahorska lowland and Danubian Lowland are divided by Little Carpathians (Malé Karpaty) mountains. Part of Považský Inovec mountains range extends into the region's territory in it's north-eastern area.
