Coat of Arms - Region Trnava The capital of the region is city Trnava, according to the population 65 382 (31.12.2017) the seventh largest city in Slovakia.Region Trnava has area 4 146,30 km2  and population 562 372 (31.12.2017). The region borders on Region Bratislava (Bratislavský kraj), Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj), Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj) and three states -  Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary. West and north-west area of region is covered by Zahorska lowland (Záhorská nížina). Middle and south are is covered by Danubian Lowland (Podunajská nížina). Zahorska lowland and Danubian Lowland are divided by Little Carpathians (Malé Karpaty) mountains.
