Middle Váh region (Stredné Považie) is Slovak region and region of turism.  Middle Váh region as region of tourism includes districts in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj): northern part of district Myjava, part of district Nové Mesto nad Váhom (excluding 4 southeastern municipalities), district Trenčín, distric Ilava, southern part of district Púchov.

Upper Váh region (Horné Považie) is Slovak region and region of turism. Upper Váh region as region of turism includes: districts Žilina, Bytča, Kysucké Nové Mesto a Čadca in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj), district Považská Bystrica in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj) and north part of district Púchov in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj).  

Lower Nitra (Dolná Nitra) is Slovak region and region of tourism, as region of tourism includes districts in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj): district Nitra, the northern part of the district Nové Zámky, district Zlaté Moravce, the western part of the district Levice.

Upper Nitra (Horná nitra) is slovak region and region of tourism. As the region of tourism includes: district Topoľčany in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj), districts Prievidza, Partizánske and  Bánovce nad Bebravou Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj).

Lower Pohronie (Dolné Pohronie), also called Tekov, is Slovak region and region of turism. Lower Pohronie as region of tourism includes districts in Region Banská Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj): Banská Bystrica, Banská Štiavnica,  Zvolen, Žarnovica, Žiar nad Hronom, Detva.

Turiec is Slovak region and region of turism. Turiec as region of turism includes districts Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj): district Martin (Lower Turiec) and district Turčianske Teplice (Upper Turiec).

Kysuce is the region and tourism region in the northwest of Slovakia. It borders on the west with the Czech Republic and on the north with Poland. It is located on territories of districts Čadca and Kysucké Nové Mesto in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj).

Orava is Slovak region and region of turism.  It encompasses the territory of the former Orava County (Oravská župa). The regional, historical and cultural center of Orava is city Dolný Kubín. As a tourist region, it includes districts in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj): Dolný Kubín, Námestovo and Tvrdošín. The territory of the region is situated in the northwestern part of Slovakia and is divided into two parts: Upper Orava (Horná Orava) and Lower Orava (Dolná Orava).
