Batizov mountain lake (Batizovské pleso) is lake in the Batizov valley (Batizovská dolina) below the foot of Gerlach peak (Gerlachovský štít) - the highest peak in Slovakia and High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry). It has max. depth 8,7 m and area  3,48 ha (0,03480 km²), its altitude is 1 884,2 m. a.s.l.

Blue Lake is the highest located lake in High Tatras. It is located under the  Small Ice Peak (Malý ľadový štít) at the end of Small Cold Valley (Malá studená dolina) at altitude of 2 192 m a.s.l. Its maximum depth is 4,5 m.

It is located at an altitude of 1 545 m, has an area of 1,78 ha and has deep 4,5 m. Green lake is the largest in the eastern part of the High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry). It belongs among the most beautiful lakes in Tatra mountains (Tatry).

Large Hincovo lake (Veľké Hincovo pleso) is the biggest and deepest mountain lake in Slovak part of  High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry) and in Slovakia, too.It lies at an altitude of 1 944,8 m above sea level, in the Hlincova Valley (Hincova dolina), which is part of the Mengusovská Valley (Mengusovská dolina). The maximum depth is 54 m, length 740 m, width 370 m. The interesting thing is, that there lives trout. Lake is the highest point of its occurrence in Slovakia and probably in Europe.

Small Hincovo pleso (Malé Hincovo pleso) is situated in a Mengusovská valley (Mengusovská dolina) in High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry) mountains. It has a maximum depth of 6 meters and area 0,0222 km², it is located at an altitude of 1 923 m. a.s.l..

Popradské pleso is situated in Mengusovská Valley (Mengusovská dolina) in High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry) mountains. It has an area of depth of 17 m, and is located at altitude 1 494.3 m. a.s.l. The lake was created after the retreat of the glaciers in the last ice age. The valley was filled with water from the surrounding valleys and peaks. Popradské pleso is accessible for hikers throughout the year. The asphalt road leads to the lake, but access by car is possible only with a special permit.

Rocky Mountain Lake is a moraine lake in the High Tatras (Vysoké Tatry). It has an area of 1,23 ha, depth max. 2 m and has altitude 1 754 m. above sea level. Near is astronomical and meteorological observatory founded in year 1943. Rocky Mountain Lake is accessible from tourist centre Tatranska Lomnica - by cable car or foot hike. Near the lake is station of cable car to one of the highest peaks in High Tatras - Lomnický peak (Lomický Štít).

Štrbské Pleso is a major centre for tourism and winter sports located in the High Tatras. It is situated at altitude of 1 346 m. above sea level. The name is derived from the village Štrba in High Tatras. It is a Esker Lake, created by the receding glacier. It It is the second largest water area on the Slovak side of the High Tatras - after the Large Hincovo lake (Veľké Hincovo Pleso) . Štrbské Pleso occupies the area 19,76 ha, its volume of water is approx. 1 284 0000 m ³ and reaches max. depth of 20 m.
