Bratislava and surroundings (Bratislava a okolie) is Slovak region and region of turism. It includes districts in Region Bratislava (Bratislavský kraj): Bratislava I, Bratislava II, Bratislava III, Bratislava IV, Bratislava V, Malacky (municipalities Borinka, Stupava and Marianka only), Pezinok, Senec (whole district excluding municipalities Hamuliakovo a Kalinkovo).

Gemer is Slovak region and region of turism. Its territory is almost identical with the territory of the former Gemer-Malohont county. As region of tourism it includes districts Rimavská Sobota and Revúca in Region Banska Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj) and district Rožňava (besides two northern municipalities, and some municipalities in the East of the district) in Region Košice (Košický kraj).

Hont is Slovak region and region of turism. Its territory is identical with the territory of the Slovak part of the former Hontianska County, which seat was city Šahy. Region Hont is located in Region Banská Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj)  in the south of Central Slovakia. It includes the territory of the districts Veľký Krtíš, Krupina and part of district Banská Štiavnica.  

Horehronie (called also Upper Hron River region / Upper Pohronie) is Slovak region and region of turism. It is situated in Region Banská Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj)  - on territory of districts Banská Bystrica and Brezno. It spreads on upper course of river Hron. From the northern side, the region is bordered by Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry), from southern side Muráň Plain (Muránska planina) mountains, Vepor Mountains (Veporské vrchy) and Poľana mountain range.

Košice and surroundings (Abov) as the region of tourism includes districts in Region Košice (Košický kraj): Košice I, Košice II, Košice III,  Košice IV and Košice-surroundings (Košice-okolie).

Kysuce is the region and tourism region in the northwest of Slovakia. It borders on the west with the Czech Republic and on the north with Poland. It is located on territories of districts Čadca and Kysucké Nové Mesto in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj).

Liptov is the Slovak region and tourism region. Its territory is roughly identical with the territory of the former Liptov County (Liptovská župa). It is located on territories of districts Ružomberok and Liptovský Mikuláš in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj). The territory of the region is divided into three parts: Upper Liptov (Horný Liptov), Middle Liptov (Stredný Liptov),  Lower Liptov (Dolný Liptov).

Lower Nitra (Dolná Nitra) is Slovak region and region of tourism, as region of tourism includes districts in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj): district Nitra, the northern part of the district Nové Zámky, district Zlaté Moravce, the western part of the district Levice.

Upper Nitra (Horná nitra) is slovak region and region of tourism. As the region of tourism includes: district Topoľčany in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj), districts Prievidza, Partizánske and  Bánovce nad Bebravou Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj).

Novohrad is Slovak region and region of turism. In Slovakia, the territory of Novohrad covers area in Region Banská Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj): whole district Lučenec, roughly 2/3 of district Poltár, eastern half of the of district Veľký Krtíš, southern part of the district Zvolen, southern part of the district Detva and small part of district Rimavská Sobota.

Orava is Slovak region and region of turism.  It encompasses the territory of the former Orava County (Oravská župa). The regional, historical and cultural center of Orava is city Dolný Kubín. As a tourist region, it includes districts in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj): Dolný Kubín, Námestovo and Tvrdošín. The territory of the region is situated in the northwestern part of Slovakia and is divided into two parts: Upper Orava (Horná Orava) and Lower Orava (Dolná Orava).  

Podunajsko is Slovak region and region of turism. Podunajsko as a region of tourism includes district Dunajská Streda in Region Trnava (Trnavský kraj), district Komárno and southern part of district Nové Zámky in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj), from  district Senec in Region Bratislava (Bratislavský kraj) municipalities Hamuliakovo a Kalinkovo.

Lower Pohronie (Dolné Pohronie), also called Tekov, is Slovak region and region of turism. Lower Pohronie as region of tourism includes districts in Region Banská Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj): Banská Bystrica, Banská Štiavnica,  Zvolen, Žarnovica, Žiar nad Hronom, Detva.

Lower Váh region (Dolné Považie) is Slovak region and region of turism. Lower Váh region as slovak region of tourism includes: districts Galanta, Piešťany, Hlohovec, Trnava in Region Trnava (Trnavský kraj), district Šaľa in Region Nitra (Nitriansky kraj) and in 4 southeast municipalities in district Nové Mesto nad Váhom in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj).  

Middle Váh region (Stredné Považie) is Slovak region and region of turism.  Middle Váh region as region of tourism includes districts in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj): northern part of district Myjava, part of district Nové Mesto nad Váhom (excluding 4 southeastern municipalities), district Trenčín, distric Ilava, southern part of district Púchov.

Spiš is Slovak region and region of turism. Spiš as region of turism includes: districts Kežmarok, Levoča, Poprad a Stará Ľubovňa in Region Prešov (Prešovský kraj) and districts Spišská Nová Ves, Gelnica, Košice-okolie (partly) in Region Košice (Košický kraj). The Spiš region is divided into three parts: Upper Spiš (Horný Spiš) - district Stará Ľubovňa and northwestern part of district Kežmarok, Middle Spiš (Stredný Spiš) - districts Levoča, Poprad and most of the district Kežmarok, Lower Spiš (Dolný Spiš) - okresy ...

Šariš is Slovak region and region of turism. Šariš as region of turism includes districts in Region Prešov (Prešovský kraj): Bardejov, Prešov, Sabinov, Stropkov, Svidník.  

Tatras (Tatry) is mountain range in Slovakia (Tatra mountains) and also region of tourism in north Slovakia. Tatras as region of tourism includes districts Poprad, Kežmarok and Stará Ľubovňa in Region Presov (Prešovský kraj).

Turiec is Slovak region and region of turism. Turiec as region of turism includes districts Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj): district Martin (Lower Turiec) and district Turčianske Teplice (Upper Turiec).

Upper Váh region (Horné Považie) is Slovak region and region of turism. Upper Váh region as region of turism includes: districts Žilina, Bytča, Kysucké Nové Mesto a Čadca in Region Žilina (Žilinský kraj), district Považská Bystrica in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj) and north part of district Púchov in Region Trenčín (Trenčiansky kraj).
