Cerova highlands (Cerová vrchovina)

Cerová Highlands is a mountain range in southern Slovakia, in Region Banska Bystrica (Banskobystrický kraj) - in district Rimavská Sobota and in north of Hungary. Highest peak is Karanč (725,1 m. a.s.l.). From the north it is surrounded by South-Slovak basin (Juhoslovenská kotlina), from the south forms a border with Hungary. The Hungarian part of Cerová Highlands is named  Cserhát (Cserhát-hegység).
